Head of Engineering at The 5th Ingredient
I am passionate about creating high-value software solutions through strong cross-functional collaboration and a focus on team culture, process, and design. In my role as Head of Engineering at The 5th Ingredient, I have the privilege of working with a dedicated team to deliver innovative brewery software solutions used by customers in over 21 countries. I take pride in guiding our efforts to enhance product functionality and support significant customer growth while always keeping the needs of our users at the forefront.
Before joining The 5th Ingredient, I gained valuable leadership experience as Director of Engineering at qmeta.io and as the Founder and Board Member of RelativeBlue, where I helped shape award-winning SaaS products. I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of Technology and a leadership certificate from Harvard Business School Online. With over 15 years in Saas engineering, I remain committed to continuous learning and collaboration, striving to drive innovation and create lasting value for the organizations I serve.
As Head of Engineering at The 5th Ingredient, I led the team through a period of 4x growth, ran the initiative to fully overhaul the company's server architecture, enhancing system performance, reliability, and security, and delivered over 500 + content updates to the system, focusing on bug fixes, feature enhancements, and performance optimizations.
During my tenure as Director of Software Engineering at qmeta.io, I took charge of spearheading the modernization of their flagship metadata platform. Over the course of a year, I fostered a cohesive working environment by closely interfacing with sales, advertising, and support teams, creating a synergy that positively impacted the organization and contributed heavily to the overall success of the project.
As the Founder and former CEO, I played a pivotal role in transforming a small startup into a revenue-producing business. Building strategic alliances, I cultivated relationships with prominent partners including Microsoft, Valve & Upwork. I facilitated worldwide communications and spearheaded targeted outreach to potential sales and marketing prospects through collaboration with social media influencers and content creators.
In my past roles, I spearheaded multiple innovative projects within the tech industry. Notably, I established and oversaw the Federated Content Platform for Acquire Media, now a subsidiary of Moody's Analytics. Additionally, I served as a senior architect for NewsCycle, collaborating directly with global Fortune 500 companies such as Novartis and Swiss Re to deliver tailored enterprise software solutions.
My career began with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Stevens Institute of technology and has continued to be enriched by the addition of multiple industry certifications including Harvard Business School Online's Leadership Principles.
